MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Vermont Catamounts men's cross country team registered a second-place finish in Saturday morning's Aldrich Invitational at Middlebury College.
Steven O'Driscoll paced the Catamounts who recorded 41 points to finish behind the St. Lawrence Saints (28 pts.).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- O'Driscoll ran the 8k in 26:37.6 to finish in third place and was followed by fellow sophomore Wyatt Matyas (26:51.3) in fourth place.
- Isaac Grosner was the third Catamount to cross the finish line with a time 27:01.4 for seventh overall.
- Owen Amsden (27:36.3) and Dawson Adams (27:39.4) finished back-to-back in 13th and 14th, respectively, to round out the Vermont scorers.
NOTES
- Vermont matches its second place finish from the 2018 Aldrich Invite.
- For the second straight year, O'Driscoll was the first UVM runner to cross the finish line. This year, he moved up four spots and improved his time on the Middlebury trail by 32 seconds.
