BETHELEM, Pa. – Will Locke led the pack for the Vermont men as he finished 21st overall and
Caroline Deiss was the top UVM finisher placing 42nd at the 51st Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University Friday afternoon The men's team finished in 12th place with 401 points in the Brown Race 8k. The women's team finished in 16
th place with 469 points in the Brown Race 6k.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Locke was the top Catamount finisher on the day finishing with a time of 25:01.4.
- The next point scorer for the Vermont men was Bennett Harrison-Michaels he placed 60th overall with a time of 25:39.6.
- Zak Metzger was the third point scorer for the Catamounts (25:58.9) placing 93rd and Tommy Wolfe came home in 113th (26:13.00) as UVM's fourth scorer.
- On the women's squad Deiss was the top performer placing 43rd overall with a time of 22:00.0.
- The next point scorer for the Vermont women was Claire MacDonald she placed 97th overall with a time of 22:38.6.
- Rachel Barba was the third point scorer for the Catamounts (22:45.8) placing 107th and Ellery Klatka came home in 116th (22:51.8) as UVM's fourth scorer.
UP NEXT
Next weekend the Catamounts head to the 2025 New England Intercollegiate Cross-Country Championships (NEICAAA) which are set for Friday, October 10 at the Hopkinton Fairgrounds in Hopkinton, N.H. It will be the 112th edition of the men's race and the 51st running on the women's side. The women's 5k will begin at 2 p.m. followed by the men's 8k at 2:45 p.m.
