WE MEET AGAIN
The Catamounts and Wildcats meet in the America East Championship Game for the second time in 211 days. Vermont and New Hampshire met in the title game last season, which was moved to the spring due to the global pandemic.
Nate Silveira made three saves for UVM, but New Hampshire won 2-0.

BACK TO THE 'SHIP
Vermont makes its 10th trip to the America East Championship Game in program history, and its third since 2015. The Catamounts are 4-4-1 in the conference title game. In total, Vermont has five America East Championships, including a thrilling penalty-kick win in 1990. UVM's last conference championship came in 2015 when Brian Wright led the Catamounts to a 1-0 victory over Binghamton at Virtue Field.

AS A NO. 2 SEED IN THE 'SHIP
The Catamounts are 4-3-1 all-time as the No. 2 seed in the America East Title Game and 1-3-1 when facing the No. 2 seed. UVM's penalty-kick win in 1990 was against top-seeded Boston University. Vermont's last two championships (2007, 2015) came as the No. 2 seed.

HOW WE GOT HERE
Vermont defeated sixth-seeded NJIT 3-2 on Wednesday night at Virtue Field. The Catamounts led 3-0 through 85 minutes thanks to goals from
Yves Borie,
Joe Morrison, and
Jacob Vitale.
Nacho Lerech had a pair of assists for Vermont. NJIT battled back with a pair of goals in the final minutes, but couldn't find the equalizer.
Nate Silveira tallied six saves for the Catamounts.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
New Hampshire enters the weekend ranked sixth in United Soccer Coaches Top-25 poll. The Wildcats have the second-best scoring differential (+36) in the country and own the top-ranked goals against average (.380). New Hampshire has scored 43 goals this season, which ranks fourth in the country. The UNH attack is led by America East Striker of the Year Tola Showunmi who has 10 goals on the season. Midfielder of the Year Yannick Bright and Defender of the Year Adam Savill are also key to the UNH lineup.

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Twin State rivals meet up for the 67th time in program history. Vermont and New Hampshire played to a 1-1 draw this season in Durham.
Yves Borie scored the lone goal for the Catamounts. The Catamounts last beat UNH in the 2016 when Brian Wright tallied three points to defeat the Wildcats by a score of 2-0 in Burlington.
