The Vermont men's lacrosse team heads back out on the road for its final nonconference game of 2021 when it takes on #6/#7 Syracuse on Saturday. Faceoff from the Carrier Dome is set for 1 p.m.

Vermont used one of its most prolific offensive attacks in the
Chris Feifs era en route to a 21-7 victory over UMass Lowell on Wednesday. Four different players registered at least five points – the most in a single game since February of 2016 when the Cats hung 19 goals on NJIT.
Michael McCormack fired home a career-high six goals and
JJ Levandowski notched his first career hat trick.

THE DOME
Syracuse announced on Thursday that a maximum of
900 Syracuse students will be able to attend Saturday's game. The recently-renovated Carrier Dome will see fans for the first time in 370 days.

SCOUTING THE ORANGE
Syracuse (1-1) is coming off a convincing 20-10 win over then-#3 Virginia last weekend. That result netted the Orange both ACC Defensive (Jakob Phaup) and Offensive (Brendan Curry) Player of the Week honors. Phaup ranks 13
th nationally in face-off winning percentage and Curry pumped in three goals and four assists against the Cavaliers. Syracuse has eight players with at least two goals this year.

INSIDE THE SERIES
While Syracuse and Vermont have met in preseason scrimmages the last several years, this will be the first official meeting between the two teams. It is also Vermont's first game against an ACC opponent since April of 2018 – a narrow 11-10 loss to Virginia.
