Men's Lacrosse Pete Estes

McCormack Nets 2nd Weekly Award as Vermont Jumps Back in National Polls

BOSTON – For the second time this season grad transfer Michael McCormack is the America East Offensive Player of the Week.The league made the announcement Monday morning.
 
Vermont also jumped back into national rankings to No. 20 in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. The Cats are receiving votes in the USILA Top 20.

McCormack continued to wear out the UMass Lowell defense scoring five times (four in the second half) and dishing out an assist in Vermont's 16-5 win on Saturday. The lefty from Williamstown, Mass. has 11 goals and 12 points against the Riverhawks this season.
 
Saturday's win sets up a key America East battle Friday night at Virtue Field. #19 UAlbany comes to town for a 6 p.m. start under the lights in Burlington.
