SCOUTING STONY BROOK
The Seawolves enter Saturday's contest ranked sixth in the Inside Lacrosse poll with an 8-2 (4-0 AE) conference record. Stony Brook's two losses have come to top-ranked North Carolina and second-ranked Syracuse. SBU has two wins against ranked opponents this season (No. 15 USC, and No. 16 Towson). Taryn Ohlmiller paces the Seawolves' offense with 47 points (17 goals, 30 assists), which is the ninth-highest total in the country. Her 30 helpers rank third in Division I. Ally Kennedy has a team-leading 32 goals, which is tied for 12
th in the nation. Kameron Halsall has eight starts in goal for the Seawolves. The redshirt junior carries a 9.50 goals-against average and .458 save percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont owns a 5-13 all-time record against Stony Brook. The Seawolves have taken the last five meetings, including wins in their three previous trips to Burlington. UVM last beat Stony Brook on April 26, 2014 with an 8-7 overtime victory in Burlington. Jessica Roach scored the deciding marker with 3:21 left in overtime to defeat the 15
th-ranked Seawolves. Â

HOT AMERICA EAST START
Vermont's 3-1 start in America East play is its best four-game start since 2008. The Catamounts' lone loss in conference play came last Saturday at UAlbany. Prior to last weekend, UVM's 3-0 America East start was the first ever in the 40-year history of the program.

CAT ADVANTAGE
The Catamounts sit atop America East in woman-up goals per game with a 1.17 average. Vermont has converted on the woman-up advantage seven times in six games – only UMBC has matched that scoring rate. UVM has also been very productive on free position attempts with a success rate of 51.4% which ranks second in America East and 16
th in the country.

THE KEEPERS BY THE NUMBERS
Vermont's goalkeepers have combined for a conference-leading .479 save percentage this season, which ranks 23
rd in the country.
Sophie McLaughlin has recorded a league-high 12.6 saves per game and owns a .488 save percentage that is third in America East.
Jackie Shipp's 7.00 goals-against average this season is currently second in the conference.
