Vermont is fresh off a tough 10-7 loss on the road at Binghamton on Saturday. The Cats led 7-5 but Binghamton rattled off a 5-0 run over the game's final 20 minutes to get the victory.
Tommy Burke went 16-for-20 at the Faceoff X and
Ryan Cornell made 11 saves.

PLAYOFF SCENARIOS
Despite Saturday's loss, UVM still controls its own fate when it comes to postseason play. With a win in either of its final two games, Vermont would qualify for the America East Tournament. A Binghamton loss to UMass Lowell on Saturday would also give Vermont the final spot in the field.

Tommy Burke's 16-for-20 effort at the X against Binghamton was the sixth time this season he's won the ball at a 70-percent or better clip. He currently ranks fifth in the country with a .714 win percentage (131-for-186). His 7.78 ground balls per game are also 13
th in the country entering this week of action.

SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
Seventeenth-ranked UAlbany is arguably the hottest team in the league right now having won two straight including an 18-8 win over NJIT last time out to clinch a spot in the conference tourney. The Great Danes boast the league's second-ranked offense thanks in part to Jakob Patterson (12G, 29A) and Graydon Hogg (24G, 7A). Liam Donnelly ranks third in the league with a 9.81 goals against average.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Wednesday marks the 29
th all-time meeting between Vermont and UAlbany – the second this year – dating back to 1981. The Great Danes lead the Series 21-7 but Vermont has won three straight including a thrilling 14-12 win earlier this season.
Liam Limoges had four goals and three assists in that win.
