United Soccer Coaches Awards
The United Soccer Coaches' awards announcement marks the second time in program history that a group of four Catamounts receive regional honors together. Bart Farley, Carl Christensen, John Koerner, and Geoff Greig were the last UVM quartet to receive regional honors, doing so in 1977 when they led Vermont to the Yankee Conference Championship. Last season,
Rasmus Tobinski and Ívar Örn Árnason earned All-Northeast honors.
Nagy and Egan were named to the All-Northeast First Team, after earning America East All-Conference First Team honors in April. Nagy led the Catamounts in assists (4), points (6), and shots (15). His lone goal of the season came in the America East Semifinals, when he registered the deciding marker in a 1-0 victory over No. 3 NJIT. The junior midfielder was also named to the America East All-Championship Team. Egan posted one goal as a sophomore midfielder, which was the game-winner versus NJIT in Vermont's home opener on March 19.
Pacella and Lillie were credited with All-Northeast Second Team Honors. The duo was named to the All-Conference Second Team back in April. Pacella was also named America East Rookie of the Year and a member of the All-Rookie Team by the conference. The rookie midfielder, along with junior defender Lillie who registered one assist, played key roles in Vermont boasting the league's top defense this season.
