Vermont cross country returns home to Hard'Ack Recreation Area on Sunday (Oct. 16) when it hosts the Fall Foliage Invitational in St. Albans. The meet kicks off at 1 p.m. with the women's 5k, followed by the men's 8k at 1:45 p.m. Live results will be provided by
802 Timing. Sunday's meet will be Vermont's final tune-up before the America East Championships.

DIRECTIONS TO HARD'ACK
Take exit 19 off I-89. Go right (north) on VT Rte. 104 (Fairfax Road) for about 1.2 miles. Then turn left on to Congress St. Hard'Ack Recreation area is immediately on your right.

THE FIELD
The Catamounts will be competing against several America East foes: Bryant, NJIT, and New Hampshire. Northeast Conference member Sacred Heart will round out the five-team field.

BACK TO HARD'ACK
UVM returns to Hard'Ack Recreation Area for the second time this season after hosting the Vermont Invite to open up the 2022 campaign.
Andrew Crompton led the Vermont men with a second-place finish and a time of 25:31.9.
Clare Kelly was the frontrunner for the UVM women with a 5k time of 19:10.4.

LAST YEAR'S FALL FOLIAGE INVITE
Jane Leighton and
Andrew Crompton raced to individual victories in the 2021 Fall Foliage Invitational. Leighton logged a time of 18:14.2 for her second straight victory at Hard'Ack. Crompton raced to a commanding 43.1 second margin of victory with a time of 25:20.4. The Vermont men also won the team competition with a score of 18 points.

LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts posted some fast times at the Paul Short Run on Sept. 30.
Andrew Crompton cruised to a personal-best time of 24:20.6 to place 11th in the Men's Brown 8k. The UVM men finished ninth in the team competition with
Dillon Jensen,
Steven O'Driscoll,
Owen Amsden, and
Jacob Tremblay rounding out the team's top five.
Jane Leighton led the Vermont women with an eighth-place finish and a time of 21:08.4 in the Women's Brown 6k.

Sunday's meet is the Catamounts' final tune-up before the America East Championships on October 29. The conference championships are hosted by UMBC in Kingsville, Md. and are slated to begin at 10 a.m. with the men's 8k, followed by the women's 5k at 11 a.m.
