COACH'S QUOTE
"Maybe for the first time this year, we strung together an excellent sixty minutes," said Head Coach Todd Woodcroft. "Not much to be said beyond "total team effort." From goaltending to specialty teams, we were very good for three periods. It was extra special to accomplish this victory in front of so many family members on senior night. The coaching staff is pleased tonight."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • After a scoreless first period the Catamounts opened the scoring on the power play with 6:33 left in the middle frame. Joe Leahy fired a low wirst shot towards UNH's Mike Robinson. In the slot Walther was able to redirect the shot home for his third goal of the season.
  • 25 seconds later the Catamounts doubled their advantage. Long took a pass at the point from Ray Vitolins and fired a wrist shot that through traffic found the back of the net for his third of the season.
  • Will Zapernick iced the win for the Catamounts with an empty-netter with 21 seconds left in regulation.
