SCOUTING THE SEAHAWKS
The Seahawks are winless through three games, and suffered a 14-11 loss to Manhattan in their most recent outing. Wagner was picked to finish second in the Northeast Conference Preseason Poll after posting a 10-5 (9-3 NEC) record in 2021 that resulted in a runner-up finish in the conference championship. The Seawhawks have finished within the top three in the NEC conference every season since 2014 and returns five All-Conference players including Madeline Seims (28 goals, 10 assists), Kasey Dorney (34 goals, 7 assists), and Megan Greco (40 goals).

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts have faced the Seahawks only once prior to this season. Wagner defeated Vermont 11-10 in a close-fought game at Hameline Field in 2020.
Ava Vasile led the charge with 2 goals and

Vermont's home opener was originally scheduled for a week ago on Feb. 20 against Merrimack, but was postponed due to field conditions. The Catamounts and Warriors will play later this season on Mar. 23 at Virtue Field.

The Catamounts are in search of their first victory in a home opener since defeating Colgate 14-11 in 2014.

Vermont junior
Ava Vasile has opened the season with 14 points (10 goals, 4 assists) in the first three games of the 2022 campaign. The midfielder has registered at least three goals in each game, including a season-high four tallies to open the year at Colgate. Vasile registered a career-high six points in the victory over the Raiders.

THE ROOKS
Claire Adelhelm and
Maddie Erskine have posted over a point-per-game average through the first three games. Adelhelm has been credited for four goals in three assists to start her collegiate career. Erskine has four goals and one assist, which includes a hat trick on the road at Boston University.
