LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts put together another fourth-quarter rally but it came up just short as Dartmouth handed UVM its third one-goal loss of the season on Tuesday, 8-7.
Michael McCormack scored a season-high four goals while
Thomas McConvey scored twice and added as assist.
Ryan Cornell made nine saves in cage to go along with four caused turnovers and four ground balls. Vermont held Dartmouth to 15-of-29 in the clearing game.

WEEKLY HONORS
McConvey and Cornell picked up America East weekly awards on Monday. McConvey was named Offensive Player of the Week after a five-goal, six-point performance on Saturday against Bryant. Cornell's .688 save percentage and robust all-around game netted him Defensive Player of the Week for the third time in his career.

SCOUTING THE FRIARS
Providence enters this weekend's matchup with a 3-3 overall record and fresh off a 16-12 win over Sacred Heart on Tuesday. Three Friars have 20 or more points already this season led by Evan McGreen's 13 goals and 10 assists. Matt Grillo leads the team with 21 goals. Michael Harris has made five starts between the pipes and enters the weekend with a .500 save percentage. The Friars were picked to finish fifth in the preseason Big East coaches' poll.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Saturday's meeting with be the 22
nd all-time between the Catamounts and Friars with the Cats holding a 12-9 overall record in the series. Providence has won the last five, though, including an 8-6 win in the most recent matchup in 2017 in Rhode Island. Each of the last four games have been decided by three goals or less.
