LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts put together another second half rally but it came up just short as Providence saddled UVM with its second straight defeat Saturday, 12-10.
Thomas McConvey and
Michael McCormack jump started a rally that saw the Cats cut an 8-1 halftime deficit to just two goals with a quick 5-0 spurt to start the second half.
Tommy Burke went 16-of-24 at the faceoff X to along with six ground balls while
Ryan Cornell was stingy in cage once again making ten saves.

WEEKLY HONORS
McConvey picked up another America East weekly award on Monday. He was named the league's offensive player of the week for the second straight week after scoring eight goals and adding an assist in UVM's two games last week. Against Providence, McConvey set a career-high with six goals. It was the second time in three games he's set a new career-high.

SCOUTING THE MINUTEMEN
UMass enters Wednesday's meeting with a record of 3-3 overall after two straight wins last week. Six Minutemen have double digit points this season led by Gabriel Procyk's 13 goals and three assists (16 points). Matt Knote has a .492 save percentage and an 11.08 goals against average and has played all but 5 minutes in cage this season. Caleb Hammett is about 50% at the faceoff X. The Minutemen rank sixth in the country holding opponents to a .758 clear percentage.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Saturday's meeting will be just the seventh all-time between UVM and UMass and the latter holds a commanding 6-0 lead in the series. The two teams haven't met since 2002 when UMass handed the Cats a 10-3 defeat. Five of the six meetings have taken place in Amherst.
