Wednesday's America East Playoffs matchup between Binghamton and Vermont will broadcast live on

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton advances to Wednesday night's matchup after beating No. 3 New Hampshire 72-69 in the America East Quarterfinals on Sunday. The sixth-seeded Bearcats were led by Jacob Falko, who posted a 21-point outing in the win. Falko was named to the All-Conference First Team prior to the playoffs, after averaging 15.4 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game in conference play. Christian Hinckson was named to the All-Defensive Team with a rebounding average of 7.6 boards per game, in addition to 1.1 blocks and 1.1 steals per game.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont is currently riding a 15-game win streak over Binghamton and owns a 39-8 all-time series mark. Wednesday's game will be the fifth time the conference foes have matched up during tournament play, with the Catamounts earning wins in the four previous meetings. Vermont and Binghamton met in the 2019 America East Semifinals, when the top-seeded Catamounts defeated the seventh-seeded Bearcats 81-54 at Patrick Gym. UVM swept Binghamton in conference play this season, with an 82-51 win in Burlington (Feb. 9) and a 66-49 road win in Vestal (Feb. 23).
Ryan Davis (15.0 ppg) and
Ben Shungu (13.5 ppg) have averaged double figures against the Bearcats this season. UVM has held Binghamton to a 32.0% shooting percentage in their two regular season matchups.

The Catamounts improved to 21-5 all-time as a No. 1 seed in the America East Playoffs with its 98-65 victory over No. 8 NJIT. Vermont has won five-straight matchups against a No. 6 seed, with a 5-1 all-time record against sixth-seeded teams. UVM last played a No. 6 seed in 2016, defeating Maine 99-82 at Patrick Gym.
