BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont men's lacrosse senior
Michael McCormack, a Business Administration major, is our TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 12.
The senior attackman scored five goals and dished out three assists for a career-high eight points in Vermont's 23-9 win over UMass Lowell last Saturday. In three career games against the River Hawks, McCormack has scored 16 goals – the most by any active Catamount against UMass Lowell. This season, the Williamstown, Mass. native is third on the team with 31 points and second with 25 goals. That mark is good for fourth in America East. In just two seasons at UVM, McCormack has 75 points. McCormack was also named America East Player of the Week by the conference.
The Catamounts are back in action tomorrow afternoon with a key America East matchup at rival UAlbany. Opening faceoff is set for 3 p.m. from New York's state capital. The action will be broadcast live on ESPN+.
