SENIOR DAY
Following Saturday's contest, Vermont will honor its 18-member senior class in a postgame ceremony presented by the UVM Alumni Association.

LAST TIME OUT
Vermont used a suffocating defensive performance to power past UAlbany, 14-6, last Saturday and clinch a spot in the upcoming America East Tournament. The Cats held the Great Danes to just two goals in the final 30 minutes of action forcing 16 turnovers.
Ryan Cornell backbones the effort with 13 saves in cage.
David Closterman powered the offense with a six-point afternoon (2G, 4A) while
Thomas McConvey scored a team-high four goals.
Michael McCormack scored the 100
th goal of his collegiate career and the 61
st in his two seasons in Burlington.

CATS IN THE RANKINGS
UVM finds itself in the thick of the national rankings in a number of categories. The Cats rank third in the country in man-down defense killing penalties at a .789 clip and they rank 11
th in caused turnovers per game (9.77). Vermont's scoring defense ranks second nationally giving up 8.69 goals per game. Individually,
Nick Alviti is 11
th in the country in caused turnovers per game.
Ryan Cornell leads the country in goals against average and is fifth in save percentage while
Tommy Burke sits eighth in faceoff winning percentage.

SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton enters the weekend with 5-6 overall record and a 3-1 mark in league play. The Bearcats also clinched a spot in the America East Tournament with an 18-8 win over NJIT on Tuesday. Binghamton is led by last year's conference Defensive Player of the Year goalie Teddy Dolan who ranks 11
th national with a .545 save percentage. Offensively Kevin Winkoff leads the league in points per game with an even 4.00 while Matthew DeSouza ranks third in faceoff win percentage (.557).

INSIDE THE SERIES
Saturday's meeting will be the 20
th all-time between the Catamounts and Bearcats with the latter holding a slim 10-9 advantage in the series. Vermont has won two of the last three meetings but Binghamton picked up a 10-7 victory in the most recent matchup last season in Vestal. UVM is 5-4 all-time against Binghamton at home.
