COACH'S QUOTE
"Credit to our entire team for not giving up and believing in themselves," head coach Sarah Dalton Graddock. "Bryant came out fast and we had to battle back. It's a great feeling to overcome adversity throughout the entire game. We will rest and recover before a huge game against Binghamton at home."

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Bryant grabbed an early 5-0 lead with Margaret Adams and Peyton Woodward leading the way. The two Bulldogs scored a pair of goals each and Kenna Kaut added a marker in the early run. Vermont countered with goals from Grace Giancola and Vasile to briefly cut the deficit to three with 4:57 left in the quarter. Bryant then struck twice to close out the quarter with a 7-2 lead.
  • The Catamounts and Bulldogs exchanged goals in the first two minutes of the second half, as Bryant maintained its five-goal lead. McKenzie Ballard recorded a hat trick in the frame, leading UVM's effort to chip away at the lead. The Bulldogs would take 9-6 lead into the break.
  • Vermont rallied in the third quarter, outscoring Bryant 8-2 in the frame to take the lead. Vasile pulled the Catamounts to within a goal with 5:51 remaining in the frame and Grace Giancola netted the equalizer 43 seconds later. Dani Paterno scored the go-ahead goal with 3:18 left in the quarter.
  • Alexa Weber and Kaut opened the fourth quarter with goals in the first 5:51 to pull back to within a goal. Vasile ignited the UVM offense with her fifth goal of the day, sparking a 3-0 run to cap off the comeback.
