Carolyn Carrera and
Ava Vasile have received All-Northeast honors, for their play during the 2022 season. The Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) announced its All-Region Teams on Thursday afternoon.

Carrera was named to the All-Northeast First Team after leading the UVM defense with a career-high 50 caused turnovers and 58 ground balls. The senior defender ranks No. 2 in the country in caused turnovers per game (2.94), and No. 3 in ground balls per game (3.41). Carrera was named to the America East All-Conference First Team at the end of the regular season, and earned All-Championship Team honors in last week's title run.
Vasile received All-Northeast Second Team honors, posting a program-best 62 goals this season and 78 points. The junior set the single-season goals record with a trio of tallies in Vermont's championship victory over UAlbany. Earlier this season, Vasile reached the 100-career goal mark, and currently ranks No. 8 on the program's all-time list. The Milford, Mass. native also earned America East All-Conference First Team honors this season, and was named to the All-Championship Team.
The two Catamounts helped lead Vermont to the first America East Championship in program history, defeating No. 1 UAlbany 12-11 on Saturday (May 7). UVM clinched the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament and will make its first ever appearance on Friday (May 13) against Denver (17-2, 5-0 Big East). The opening draw is set for 4 p.m. at Boston College's Newton Campus Lacrosse Field. Fans can tune into the action on ESPN+.
