BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont women's track and field junior
Lauren Triarsi, a Public Communication major, is our TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending May 12.
Triarsi became the first Catamount since 2015 to win the heptathlon at the 2022 America East Outdoor Track and Field Championships hosted by UVM at the Frank H. Livak Track & Field Facility. Triarsi scored 4,448 points in the heptathlon, to win by a margin of 163 points. On day one she recorded top marks in the 100-meter hurdles (14.53s), high jump (1.60m), and 200-meter dash (25.82s). On the second day of competition she finished third in the long jump (5.13m), fourth in the javelin (21.17m), and third in the 800-meter run (2:37.21).

Kayla Myers (third overall) earned All-Conference honors in the event. Triarsi also placed fourth in the women's 100-meter hurdles.
The Catamounts are back in action today and tomorrow at the 2022 New England Championships hosted by Bryant University in Smithfield, RI.
