DANBURY, Conn. – UVM senior midfielder
Thomas McConvey continued to pile up postseason accolades last week when he was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Offensive Player of the Year.
McConvey also landed on the All-ECAC Team while Graduate student goalie
Ryan Cornell collected Honorable Mention Honors.

Just the second Catamount ever to be named the America East Offensive Player of the Year, McConvey finished 2022 with a program-record 60 goals and 74 total points. No player had ever scored more than 50 goals in a season at UVM and his 74 points ranks fourth all-time in a single season. The senior midfielder scored 12 goals in the America East Tournament on his way to being named Most Outstanding Player in Vermont's second straight conference championship run.
Cornell – the first Catamount to ever be named the America East Defensive Player of the Year – wrapped up his career with his best season in Burlington. His 8.91 goals against average ranked fourth in the country and his .556 save percentage was good for 11
th nationally. He made 10 or more saves 12 times this season and ranked third on the team with 62 ground balls.
After a slow start to the campaign, UVM rattled off 10 straight wins to capture its second straight America East Championship and pick up the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament win in dominating fashion over Manhattan.
