COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The University of Vermont women's swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-America Team for spring 2022 by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), which was announced on Monday afternoon.
 
The Catamounts who finished 10th at the ECAC Championships and third at the America East Championships maintained the best women's GPA in the conference at 3.62 in the spring semester.
 
Teams are required to post a team GPA of 3.0 or higher in the spring semester to earn distinction as a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team. Vermont was one of four women's America East teams to receive the honor.
 
CSCAA Executive Director had this to say about Vermont, "Coach Cournoyer built a program that values the full student-athlete experience."
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
