COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The University of Vermont's
Patrick Dooley was announced as USA Hockey's Equipment Manager for the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup Wednesday afternoon. USA's Under-18 Men's Select Team will compete in Red Deer, Alberta from July 31 to August 6.

"It is with great pleasure that we are able to share the news that Patrick will be representing USA at the upcoming Hlinka Gretzky Cup," said Head Coach
Todd Woodcroft. "Patrick will serve in the same capacity that he does for UVM men's hockey – as the Head Equipment Manager. It is always a privilege to wear your nation's logo and the ability to do it at one of the premier junior tournaments in the world is something special. We all wish Patrick great success in August."
The 2022 U.S. Under-18 Men's Select Team features nine players who helped the U.S. Under-17 Men's Select Team
win the 2021 Under-17 Five Nations Tournament, held last summer in Visp, Switzerland. Fifteen of the team members are currently committed to play college hockey.
The U.S. will compete alongside Czechia, Finland and Germany in Group B at the 2022 Hlinka Gretzky Cup. Canada, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland will compete in Group A. Team USA has finished in the top three of the Hlinka tournament 13 times since the tournament began in 1991.
