BURLINGTON, Vt. – Nordic skiing graduate student Ben Ogden, a Mechanical Engineering major, is our TD Bank Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending January 8.
 
Ogden completed the FIS Tour de Ski Sunday morning in Italy placing 13th overall in the grueling seven-event and nine-day competition. His 13th place finish is the best-ever by an American male in the event.
 
Ogden placed in the top-15 in four of the seven events of the competition. His best finish came in the 10k Classic on January 3, he placed sixth in the field with a time of 22:08. He also finished in the top-ten placing ninth in the Sprint Classic with a time of 2:40. Today he closed out the competition placing 24th in the 10k Free with a time of 33:19.0.
 
Ogden and the Nordic skiing team began the 2023 EISA campaign today at the Bates Carnival. Ogden won the 7.5k Freestyle for the Catamounts in his return to collegiate skiing. Tomorrow the Nordic teams will compete in a 10k Freestyle from Black Mountain in Mumford, Maine.
