The Catamounts (8-4-0, 2-2-0 AE) will host New Hampshire (5-4-2, 2-1-1 AE) in America East's annual spread respect game on Thursday (Oct. 12) night. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. and the game will be broadcast live on AmericaEast.TV.

SPREAD RESPECT INITIATIVE
Spread Respect is an initiative that was developed by the America East Conference to raise awareness to ensure equality and safety for all student-athletes, coaches and fans without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. The Spread Respect initiative began during the 2019-2020 campaign and continues through all sports presented by the America East Conference.
BACK-TO-BACK AMERICA EAST OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Kate Bossert earned her first America East weekly honor garnering Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Oct. 9. Bossert scored two second half goals to help lead Vermont to back-to-back America East victories defeating UMBC 3-0 on the road on Sunday (Oct. 8) afternoon. This marked back-to-back weeks the Catamounts claimed America East Offensive Player of the Week after graduate student
Frances O'Donnell earned the honor the week before.
AMONG THE BEST IN THE AMERICA EAST
Bossert is currently ranked fourth in the America East with 34 total shots and is second in the conference with 20 shots on goal. Her nine goals scored this season is tied for the America East lead and her 20 points is ranked second. Her three game-winning goals are also second in the conference.
Bailey Ayer is tied for first in America East play with five assists and is eighth in points with nine.
Erin Murphy is second in the conference in save percentage (.816) and is first in saves per game at 5.71. Her 40 saves is eighth in the conference, despite her playing less games than any other eligible goalkeeper.
NATIONAL RANKINGS
Bossert is currently tied 28th nationally in game-winning goals (three), tied for 39th for total points (20) and tied for 24th in total goals (nine). Ayer is tied for 67th in the nation in assists with five. Murphy has been an anchor in net for the Catamounts starting and playing seven games while ranking 18th in the country in saves per game (5.71) and her .816 save percentage is ranked 73rd nationally.
SCOUTING NEW HAMPSHIRE
This season the Wildcats have outscored their opponents 14-10 through 11 games. Junior Meghan Guarente leads the team in goals with five, assists with four and total points with 14. Her five goals are tied for third in the conference and her four assists is tied for fourth while her points is tied for third in the America East. Redshirt junior Chloe DeLyser is second on the team with three assists and is tied for second on the team with five total points. Redshirt sophomore Sally Rainey has been a staple between the pipes for the Wildcats starting and playing 11 games this season with 42 saves, a 0.92 goals against average and a .808 save percentage.
INSIDE THE SERIES
This will be the 47th matchup between the Wildcats and the Catamounts with New Hampshire holding a 23-18-5 advantage in the series. Both teams longest winning streak in the series is six games with Vermont having won the first six contests from 1977-1984 and New Hampshire claiming six in a row from 2005-2010. Over their last five matchups the Catamounts are 2-3-0 claiming two victories at home in the 2021 season including a 1-0 victory in the America East Championship game at Virtue Field. In their first matchup of the 2021 season the Catamounts came away with a 3-0 victory where
Alyssa Oviedo netted the game-winning goal and an assist in that matchup. In the America East Championship game
Bailey Ayer recorded the assist on Cricket Basa's game-winning goal in the 80th minute.
WHO'S NEXT
Following Thursday's matchup with the Wildcats, the Catamounts will have a quick turnaround when they travel to Vestal, NY to battle with Binghamton on Sunday, October 15. The start time for that game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+. The international stream will also be available via AmericaEast.TV.
