Burlington, Vt. – Vermont (4-4-7) (2-0-4) tied with UAlbany (5-7-2) (3-3-1) 2-2 at home from Virtue Field on Thursday evening.

COACH'S QUOTE 
"We have had several shutouts but also the past couple games have been struggling to score. Putting our foot on the gas was a focus today. Obviously, it was a great start to the game, but we kind of just fell asleep in a couple of crucial moments." - Head Coach Kristi Huizenga.  

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Vermont earned a corner kick in the first minute, and Eleni Stowell converted it when the ball deflected past a UAlbany defender into the net. The Catamounts took a 1-0 lead. 

• In the 12th minute, Sophia Kling made a diving save to her right from a UAlbany shot in the box.  

• UAlbany earned a corner kick in the 29th minute. After deflections off both teams, Tamia Nelson scored to tie the match at 1-1. 

• In the 38th minute, Ella Hall's corner kick found Abigail Mills, who scored her first collegiate goal to give Vermont a 2-1 lead. 

• At halftime, the score remained 2-1.  

• In the 51st minute, Great Danes forward Oluchi Njoku scored with a curling shot from outside the box, tying the match at 2-2. 

• In the 85th minute, Vermont earned two consecutive corner kicks but failed to score. 

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 

• Abigail Mills recorded her first collegiate goal. 

• Madeline Gardner notched a team-high four shots.  

• Vermont recorded sixteen shots, while UAlbany had twelve.  

• Sophia Kling had six saves which ties her career high. 

• Abigail Mills, Emma Warren, and Sophia Kling each played the full 90 minutes. 

• Vermont is still undefeated in conference play only allowing four goals in six matches.
