SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton enters Saturday's matchup one spot behind UVM at No. 4 in the America East standings. The Bearcats opened league play with a 0-0 draw against New Hampshire on Sept. 23, and then tied NJIT 1-1 on Sept. 30. Binghamton is led by Jack Green who has nine points through 11 games this season, along with Anthony Lazaridis who has five points. Dylan McDermott returns as Binghamton's goalkeeper for his graduate student season, posting a 1.86 goals against average and .618 save percentage.

Vermont and Binghamton have met 23 times since the Bearcats joined America East in 2002. The Catamounts are currently on an eight-game unbeaten streak versus the Bearcats, and own a 15-5-3 overall mark in the series. UVM had a strong 2-0 victory over Binghamton at Virtue Field a season ago behind an own goal and a goal from

UVM held on to a spot in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll for the 17
th-straight period, dating back to September 20, 2022. Vermont is the top-ranked America East school, two spots ahead of No. 24 New Hampshire.

Vermont was ranked No. 15 nationally in the third week of the NCAA's RPI Rankings. The Catamounts are the top-ranked America East school, sitting 13 spots ahead of Bryant (28). America East as a whole is a ranked as the fifth-toughest league among the 23 NCAA Division I conferences that sponsor men's soccer.

The Catamounts are currently No. 3 in the conference standings through three games. Vermont trails UMBC (2-0-1) and NJIT (2-0-1) who have both accumulated seven points each, one more than the Cats.
