BRISTOL, Conn. – Former Catamount All-American Thomas McConvey '22 was selected eighth overall by Waterdogs Lacrosse Club in Tuesday night's Premiere Lacrosse League College Draft.

McConvey set Vermont's single-season goals record in 2022 with 60 and was named the America East and ECAC Offensive Player of the Year. He was a three-time All-Conference selection and three-time All-American with the Catamounts and finished his UVM career with 127 goals and 47 assists for 174 points.
 
Through 14 games with Virginia this season he has 46 points on 26 goals and 20 assists. He was also named a USA Lacrosse Magazine Second Team All-American.
 
McConvey was drafted No. 1 in the 2022 NLL Draft by the Rochester Knighthawks back in September.
