BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont wrapped up their five-game opening home stand with a visit from Boston University. The Catamounts were looking to get back on track after a midweek loss to third-ranked Northwestern.
Sophia Drees got the scoring started when she scored off a penalty corner. Caroline O'Brien's hat-trick paced the Terriers to a 4-3 victory in double overtime. The loss drops Vermont to 2-3 and the Terriers move to 2-3.

- Drees's goal came nine minutes into the first quarter on assists from Haley Buffenbarger and Maddie Moran
- Reggie Hillery doubled the lead five minutes when she turned in an assist from Moran.
- Boston University got one back when O'Brien struck a penalty corner in from Megan Wetzel and Thalia Steenssens five and a half minutes into the second quarter.
- O'Brien struck again when she scored on a penalty corner from Wetzel and Tegan Poerio ten minutes into the second quarter.
- The Terriers took their first lead when Payton Anderson scored on a penalty corner from Natalie Epperson and Steenssens three minutes into the second half.
- With time expired Haley Buffenbarger notched her first goal of the season off a penalty corner to force overtime.
- With three minutes left in the second overtime period, O'Brien completed her hattrick on a penalty corner with an assist from Steenssens.
