SCOUTING THE SAINTS
Siena is in search of its first win of the 2023 campaign, opening the season with five losses and an 0-3 mark on the road. The Saints have scored one goal in their three road games, coming in a 3-1 loss at UConn on Sept. 4. Henrik Winkelmann was credited with the goal in the loss, and is one of two goal scorers on Siena this season, joined by Jack Mendrysa. Winkelmann was named to the Preseason All-MAAC Team. The Saints were picked No. 4 in the MAAC Preseason Poll.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and Siena meet for the third-straight season and 15th time in series history on Tuesday night. The Catamounts own an 11-2-1 record against the Saints, including a 7-1-1 mark in Burlington. UVM was victorious last season in Loudonville, N.Y., defeating Siena 3-0.
Max Murray tallied a career-high four points, scoring the game-winning goal and adding two assists in the win. Murray later collected his second America East Offensive Player of the Week honor.

NATIONALLY-RANKED CATS
Vermont has maintained its No. 12 ranking in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25. The Catamounts have spent six of the last seven polls ranked inside the nation's top 15, and is the top ranked team in the Northeast Region. Top Drawer Soccer currently has Vermont ranked No. 10 in its national power rankings.

LEAGUE PLAY ON THE HORIZON
The Catamounts will begin America East play on Saturday (Sept. 23) when it visits Bryant in Smithfield, R.I. The matchup will be between top of the top four teams in the United Soccer Coaches Northeast Regional rankings. Bryant has opened the season with six-straight wins, and have yet to yield a goal. Vermont's first home league game will be on Sept. 30 against UMass Lowell.
