BURLINGTON, Vt. – For the first time since 1982, Northwestern and Vermont faced off this afternoon. This matchup marks the fourth of five games that the Catamounts will play at home to start the season before going on the road next week to Iowa. Peyton Halsey led Northwestern with three points on the afternoon.
Lauren Halenkamp's 10 saves kept the Catamounts in the game throughout. The loss drops the Catamounts to 2-2, and the Wildcats move to 3-1.

- Northwestern got the scoring started when Peyton Halsey turned in a pass from Olivia Bent-Cole.
- The Catamounts best chance came when Lotte Kanters and Maddie Priestly forced Northwestern goalie Annabel Skubisz into two saves midway through the second quarter.
- The Wildcats struck again when Maja Zivojnovic scored off a penalty corner from Halsey and Alia Marshall
