CHASING PROGRAM HISTORY
A win over Brown on Tuesday will match a program-best 10 non-conference wins. The Cats have won 10 non-conference games six previous times, last doing so in 2019-20.
LOOKING TO BOUNCE BACK
The Catamounts are looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking 70-69 loss at the buzzer to Miami (OH) prior to break. UVM is 12-7 after a loss over the past three seasons and 3-1 in 2023-24.
SCOUTING THE BEARS
Brown has won two if its last five games, but suffered a loss to former America East school Stony Brook (L, 69-65) when it returned to action on Dec. 29. Three of the Bears' four wins this season have come in The Ocean State with two of those at Pizzitola Sports Center. Kino Lilly Jr. leads the Brown offense, averaging 19.4 points and 2.5 assists in 13 games. His scoring average ranks 35th nationally. Lilly Jr. is on the floor for 38:05 per game, which is third in the country. The junior ranks fifth nationally in three-point attempts (123) and field goal attempts (234). Nana Owusu-Anane (13.9 ppg, 8.7 rpg) and Kalu Anya (10.3 ppg, 6.5 rpg) make up the frontcourt for the Bears. Owusu-Anane has posted six double-doubles this season, which ranks 16th nationally. UVM men's basketball legend TJ Sorrentine '05 is associate head coach at Brown.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont and Brown meet for the third straight season and fifth time in series history. The Catamounts are 2-2 in the series with wins coming in each of the last two seasons. UVM defeated Brown 80-65 at Patrick Gym a season ago and earned a 70-65 victory on the road in 2021-22.
DELONEY VS. BROWN
Aaron Deloney recorded a career-high 32 points in last year's meeting vs. Brown. The UVM guard poured in a career-high 11 field goals on 14 attempts in the opening-night victory. He was 4-for-5 from long range -- his second most three-point makes.
UVM ALL-TIME VS. IVY LEAGUE
UVM is looking to complete its sweep of Ivy League opponents this year after defeating Dartmouth (W, 64-53) and Yale (W, 66-65) earlier this season. Vermont is 9-1 in its last 10 meetings with Ivy League schools.
