MOST CONSECUTIVE CONFERENCE WINS
Vermont leads the nation with 18 straight conference wins. The College of Charleston sits behind UVM with 14 straight conference wins in the Coastal Athletic Association.
SCOUTING THE BEARCATS
Binghamton enters Thursday's game on a two-game losing streak with losses to conference foes Bryant (L, 77-69) and UAlbany (L, 95-75) to begin America East play. The Bearcats are led by transfer guard Tymu Chenery who is averaging 14.6 points per game in his first season with the team. Nehemiah Benson, a 6-foot-7 forward who transferred from Rider, also averages double figures (10.5 ppg). Symir Torrence ranks fifth nationally in assists per game (7.2) and leads America East. The Bearcats have pulled in offensive rebounds on 38.8% of their missed field goals in league play, which leads the conference.
INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont has won 19 straight meetings against Binghamton, and own a 43-8 record in the all-time series. The Catamounts are 20-6 when visiting the Bearcats. The America East counterparts have met in the semifinals in each of the last two seasons, with the Catamounts earning both victories.
Aaron Deloney will be facing the Bearcats for the 11th time in his career.
MILLS RETURNS
Brenton Mills will face Binghamton for the first time since transferring from the program in 2021. Mills picked up multiple America East honors in two seasons there and led the Bearcats in scoring (13.9 ppg) in 2020-21.
PROTECTING THE BALL
Vermont has been one of the best teams in the country at protecting the ball, ranking fourth in turnovers per game (9.1). UVM has recorded nine turnovers or less in 12 of 18 games this year. The Cats have averaged a league-best 7.0 turnovers per game in AE play.
AD'S ASSISTS
Aaron Deloney has averaged a career-high 3.2 assists per game this season. The UVM guard has recorded three or more assists in 10 games – Vermont is 7-3 in those contests. Deloney registered 13 assists and only one turnover last week, and ranked second nationally in assist rate (58.4%).
