BOSTON, Ma. – Boston University scored six unanswered goals earning them the victory against Vermont Friday night at Agganis Arena. With the result, the Catamounts fall to 9-13-1 on the season while the Terriers improved to 10-10-3.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- 2:18 into the game, Boston University opened scoring after a Vermont turnover in their own zone. Ani FitzGerald carried the puck in on a two-on-one rush and rifled a shot pass the goalkeeper, glove side, giving them the early 1-0 lead.
- The Terrier's buried their second goal of the game 16:45 into the first period. Catherine Foulem found herself all alone in the slot after receiving a pass from Alex Law, electing to go blocker side high giving Boston University the lead, 2-0.
- BU went on the powerplay with 0:10 left of the first period resulting in Nadia Mattivi scoring from the point with just two seconds remaining, giving the Terriers a 3-0 cushion going into the second frame.
- Mattivi scored her second of the game from the point at the 7:39 mark of the second period elevating BU's lead, 4-0.
- Boston University struck again after Ella Huntley scored off a backhand shot while falling to the ice, assisted by Clara Yuhn making the score 5-0 at the 16:20 mark in period two.
- Vermont found their first goal 19:14 into the third period when Marie-Rose Brochu sauced the puck to the front of the net, getting corralled by Lara Beecher who then shot the puck into a wide-open net.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Bella Parento, Brochu, and Beecher all registered a point for the Catamounts Friday evening.
- Evelyne Blais-Savoie earned a game high 11 faceoffs in her 18 attempts throughout the match as well as getting the most shots on goal for Vermont with three.
- Jessie McPherson tallied 22 total saves on the night.
- With today's 6-1 decision, Community Bank N.A. will donate $75 to Special Olympics Vermont. Community Bank, N.A. donates $75 per goal to Special Olympics Vermont for every goal the men's and women's team scores this season.
