BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Catamounts (7-4-3, 2-3-0 AE) will host UAlbany (3-9-1, 2-2-1 AE) in the America East annual spread respect game on Thursday (Oct. 17) night, from Virtue Field. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Brian McLaughlin on the call. Thursday's match will also be the UVM Employee Appreciation Game. VSP has inserts from UVM HR and VT Construction Company to include with tickets when distributing to UVM employees.

SPREAD RESPECT INITIATIVE
Spread
Respect is an initiative that was developed by the America East Conference to raise awareness to ensure equality and safety for all student-athletes, coaches and fans without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity. The
Spread Respect initiative began during the 2019-2020 campaign and continues through all sports presented by the America East Conference.
VERMONT OUTLOOK
- Vermont has scored first in 10 of their 14 matches this season, scoring 17 goals in the first half and nine goals in the second half. UVM holds a 7-1-2 season record when notching the first goal of the match. The Catamounts' 26 goals this season ranks first in the America East and 76th across the entire NCAA.
- UVM's offense continues to be one of the best in the nation, ranking top two in the America East in numerous categories, along with being top 100 in the country in multiple categories. The Catamounts are second in the America East in points per game, 90th in the country (5.07 per game), first in scoring offense, 75th in the country (1.86 per game), first in total goals, 76th in the country (26 total goals), and first in total points, 90th in the country (71 total points).
- Vermont is the only America East school to have four players ranked in the top 10 for assists. Emma Warren has three assists (ranked 10th). Jill Brody has three assists (ranked 9th), Kate Bossert has three assists (ranked 8th), and Bailey Ayer has earned four assists (ranked 7th) so far this season.
- Vermont has two of the top three goal scorers in the entire conference. Ayer ranks first in the America East in both total goals and total points, scoring nine total goals and earning four assists for 22 total points. Bossert is third in the America East in goals, scoring six on the season to this point. Bossert also ranks third in total points, having earned 15 points so far this season.
- Ayer is also tied for second in the conference for shots and shots on goal, earning 41 shots and pinning 20 of them on net.
- Brody ranks seventh in the America East in total shots taken (34), and eighth in the America East in shots on goal (15).
- Sydney Remington ranks 15th in the conference in total shots with 25 while rounding out the top 20 in the shots on goal department earning 10 on the season thus far.
SCOUTING THE GREAT DANES
- UAlbany comes to Virtue Field after earning its first back-to-back victories of the season, defeating UMass Lowell 3-2 at home and NJIT 3-1 at home. All three of the Great Danes wins this season have been on home turf.
- Throughout UAlbany's five conference games this season, the Great Danes have stayed consistent, scoring six goals while also allowing six goals.
- UAlbany's six goals in two games is the most goals they've scored in a two-match span since their 2022 season.
- So far this season, the Great Danes are 0-6-1 when facing opponents on the road.
- UAlbany is led by junior Selma Elverum and redshirt sophomore Casey Stowell, who each have a team high five points on two goals and one assist. Fellow redshirt sophomore Madison Hnis has tallied a tied team high 18 total shots this season.
- The Catamounts hold a 16-12-2 all-time record vs UAlbany with their most recent victory over the Great Danes coming last season in a 3-0 shutout win on the road in Albany, N.Y.
- Vermont holds a four-game unbeaten streak vs the Great Danes dating back to the Conference winning 2021 season.
