BURLINGTON, Vt. – Vermont (8-5-3, 3-4-0 AE) will face America East foe Bryant (5-7-3, 3-3-0 AE) on Sunday (Oct. 27) afternoon in the team's regular season finale from Smithfield, RI with major playoff implications on the line. With a win, Vermont would clinch a championship birth to the America East playoffs for the second straight season. Start time for the match is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be broadcast live on ESPN+.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
- The Catamounts are unbeaten in their last four regular season finales, earning a 2-0-2 record during final regular season matches dating back to the 2020-21 season.
- Vermont has scored first in 11 of their 16 matches this season, scoring 19 goals in the first half and 10 goals in the second half. UVM holds an 8-1-2 season record when notching the first goal of the match. The Catamounts' 29 goals this season ranks first in the America East and 73rd across the entire NCAA.
- UVM's offense continues to be one of the best in the nation, ranking top two in the America East in numerous categories, along with being top 100 in the country in multiple categories. The Catamounts are second in the America East in points per game, 94th in the country (4.94 per game), first in scoring offense, 77th in the country (1.81 per game), first in total goals, 73rd in the country (29 total goals), first in total points, 92nd in the country (79 total points), second in shots on goal per game (6.50), and second in total shots per game, 61st in the country (15.44).
- Vermont is one of two America East schools to have five or more players in the top 20 in assists. Emma Warren (3 assists), Jill Brody (3 assists), Sydney Remington (3 assists), Kate Bossert (3 assists), and Bailey Ayer (4 assists) all fall into the top 13 in the assists department.
- UVM is the only America East school to have two of the top five goal scorers in the conference. Ayer sits atop the goals list with 11 and Bossert sits at fourth with six goals.
- Vermont is the lone America East school to have three players in the top 10 for total shots. Bossert sits at eighth with 38, Brody ranks seventh with 39, and Ayer is tied for second with 51.
- Ayer's career year continues to impress, consistently topping numerous categories in the America East week in and week out. Ayer currently sits at first in the conference in goals per game (0.69), points per game (1.63), total goals (11), and total points (26). Her 11 goals are good for 13th in the entire nation and her 26 points is good for 18th in the whole country.
- Ayer also is tied for second in the conference in total shots, earning 51 so far this season, pinning 22 on goal, good for third in the America East in shots on goal.
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
- Bryant enters Sunday's matchup with a 5-7-3 overall record, 3-3-0 conference record.
- The Bulldog's most recent match ended in a 1-0 loss in Durham, NH to the UNH Wildcats.
- In Bryant's three home conference games thus far, the Bulldogs hold a 2-1 record, and on the road, they post a 1-2 conference record.
- During non-conference play, Bryant and Vermont saw a few of the same teams with Bryant falling to Siena 1-0, defeating Stonehill 5-0, and drawing to Sacred Heart 1-1. The Catamounts defeated all three of those opponents, outscoring the competition 10-3.
- The Bulldog's have narrowly outscored their competition 10-9 throughout their first six conference games this season.
- Overall, Bryant is 3-3-1 at home. The Bulldogs were shutout in two of the three losses on home turf.
- Bryant is led by senior forward Catherine Bean and fellow senior forward, Jordyn Collins, who each have eight points this season. Bean has tallied eight points on two goals and a team high four assists while Collins earned her eight points on a team high three goals and two assists.
- Vermont is 2-3-1 all-time vs Bryant with the most recent win coming in the 2019 season when the Catamounts went down to Smithfield, RI and won 2-1. UVM holds a two-game unbeaten streak when playing in Smithfield, RI. Last season, Bryant was victorious 1-0 from Virtue Field.
