ALBANY, N.Y – The fourth seeded Catamounts scored three times in 12 minutes to erase a halftime deficit to win the America East Championship on Sunday afternoon.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Wildcats opened the scoring 25 seconds in when Kathelijne Knuttel scored on a penalty corner, assisted by Tasmin Cookman and Addison Macneil.
- The Wildcats doubled their lead in the 29th minute when Immie Gilgrass tapped in a rebound.
- Meg Weyer got one back for Vermont when she scored on an assist from Sophia Drees in the 34th minute.
- Marie Dijkstra tied it in the 36th minute when she took it herself to score.
- Weyer got her second of the game when she deflected a pass from Lotte Kanters in the 46th minute to give the Catamounts the lead for good.
- The Vermont defense held firm in the final minute, stopping three penalty corners.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Weyer's two goals were the first multi-goal game of her career. She has seven goals on the season and 20 points for the first time ever.
- Merle Vaandrager had five saves in the win as the rookie goalie picked up her ninth win.
- Sophia Lefranc was named player of the tournament after scoring three goals in the first two games.
- Drees, Kanters, Vaandrager, and Lefranc were also named to the all-tournament team.
