BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont Men's Basketball travels 100 miles south for their second game in Alabama. They match up against Auburn on Wednesday Nov. 6 at Neville Arena. The tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. ET.

- TJ Hurley had his career high (20) in points against UAB on Monday night.
- Bogues (13 points) and Long (10 points) were the other two Catamounts besides Hurley in double-figure scoring.

- The Catamounts were selected No. 1 in the America East Preseason Poll for the eighth time in the last nine seasons, and the tenth time in 14 seasons under John Becker. Vermont received eight of the nine first-place votes, and a score of 64 points. UMass Lowell was picked second in the poll, receiving the one remaining first-place votes and a score of 55 points.
- Shamir Bogues received a Preseason All-Conference honor after earning America East Newcomer of the Year, All-Championship Team, All-Conference First Team, and All-Defensive Team in 2023-24.
- TJ Long also received a Preseason All-Conference honor after landing on the America East All-Championship Team and All-Conference Third Team last year.
SCOUTING THE TIGERS
- Auburn is ranked 11th in the preseason AP top 25 poll and is 5th in the whole country on KenPom.
- This is the first time the Catamounts have played Auburn.
- The Tigers are coming off a (27-8) season and a SEC (Southeastern Conference) championship last year.
- In 2023-24 Auburn averaged 78.8 points per game with a high shooting efficiency going 46.7% from the field.
- The Tigers were active on defense last year, averaging 7.3 steals per game. They also had strong shot-blocking presence, recording 4.7 blocks per game.
- Auburn returns two of their top three scorers from last season.
- Senior forward/center Johni Broome led the Tigers averaging 16.5 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks. Broome was ALL-SEC first-team selection and was a third-team AP All-American in 2023-24.
- Senior guard/forward Chad Baker-Mazara also provided 10 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2.2 assists last year.
