Griffin Fenech had his first career hattrick, and three other Catamounts had three points as Vermont (1-3) fell to Utah (1-3) on Saturday afternoon.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Utah opened the game on a four-goal run as Carson Moyer opened the scoring 80 seconds in, followed by Tyler Bradbury, MJ McMahon, and Will Overly.Â
- Fenech got Vermont's first goal when he scored unassisted.Â
- The Utes then went on another four-goal run through goals via Ryan Stines, Bryce Horton, and two from Jordan Hyde.Â
- Charlie Pope got the Catamounts second when he scored unassisted.Â
- Moyer made the game 9-2 when he scored unassisted.Â
- The Catamounts then went on a three-goal run as Luke Reiter picked up his first collegiate goal unassisted. Carson Boyle added to the scoring when he scored off an assist from Brock Haley. Pope's second goal off the game capped off the three-goal run.Â
- Utah responded with a two-goal run through goals from Stines and Hyde.Â
- Reiter picked up his second of the game when he scored off an assist from Pope.Â
- Cody Hart picked up his first goal of the game to make it 12-6.Â
- Fenech scored his second off an assist from Haley with four minutes to go in the half.Â
- Stines got the Ute's final goal of the half with a minute left when he scored man-up.Â
- Tristan Whitaker got into the action with 20 seconds to go when he scored on the man-up off an assist from Cullen Decker.Â
- Max Frattaroli got the Catamount's only goal of the third quarter when he scored off the assist from Reiter four minutes into the second half.Â
- Utah then went on a four-goal run through goals from Moyer, Stines, Bradbury, and Hyde to take the lead back to eight.Â
- The Catamounts responded with a three-goal run, with Frattaroli getting his second unassisted on the man-up. Fenech completed his hat trick with an assist from Jack Fitch. Haley picked up a goal when he scored off an assist from Finn O'Hara.Â
- The Utes ended the game on a five-goal run with goals from Dallin Tanner, Stines, Bradbury, Justus Peterson, and Hyde.Â
