HANOVER, N.H. – Ava Vasile matched a career-high six goals for the third consecutive game, but Vermont (4-1) suffered its first loss of the season, falling 16-7 to Dartmouth (2-1) on Tuesday night at Scully-Fahey Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Big Green quickly grabbed a 1-0 lead 0:19 into the game when Katie Elders notched her 10th goal of the season on a free-position attempt.
- Fiona O'Keeffe doubled the Dartmouth lead minutes later, and Mia Puccio added a tally with 2:01 left in the first quarter as the Big Green would close the frame up 3-0.
- Elders scored her second goal of the game 1:15 into the second quarter to grow the lead to four. Katina Christensen made it 5-0 for the Big Green 0:34 seconds later.
- Vasile put the Catamounts on board with her first goal of the evening, coming with 9:49 left in the second quarter.
- She notched her second goal of the game 2:10 later as Vermont cut its deficit down to three goals at the midway point of the frame. The graduate student charged at a Big Green defender, spun away and fired a shot past Gisele Todd (11 saves).
