BURLINGTON, Vt. - The University of Vermont qualified a 12-skier squad for the 2024 NCAA Skiing Championships hosted by the University of Colorado March 6-9 at Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Vermont is one of just five teams to qualify a full 12-skier team for this year's championship.

Participants are selected on a regional basis from two designated regions for Alpine skiing (East and West Regions) and three designated regions for Nordic skiing (Central, East and West Regions). Bids are awarded to regions using a formula determined by the skiing committee. A maximum of 12 student-athletes (three per gender per discipline) may be selected from an institution.
Alpine events will be held Wednesday, March 6 at Steamboat Resort and Friday evening, March 8 at Howelsen Hill for a featured evening competition. Nordic events will run Thursday, March 7 and Saturday, March 9 at Howelsen Hill.

The Catamounts will enter the competition fresh off the program's fifth straight EISA Championship last weekend in Middlebury. It was UVM's 40th EISA crown. The University of Utah has won the last four NCAA Championships. However, they were defeated by Colorado 671-589.5 in the RMISA Championships. Vermont was the National Runner-Up in 2019 and 2022, the Catamounts are seeking their seventh team title and first since 2012.
