Vermont men's lacrosse (3-6, 1-1 AE) returns home to face Merrimack (3-6, 1-1 AE) on Saturday, Mar. 30. The game will begin at 2:30 p.m. and be streamed live on ESPN+ from Virtue Field.Â

PROMOTIONS
Saturday will be Youth Day presented by Healthy Living. Kids and families can come as early as 10:00 a.m. for airbrush tattoos, lawn games, arts and crafts, giveaways, and more. Healthy Living will be giving away reusable grocery bags with some prizes included. Kids 12 and younger will be granted free admission upon arrival while tickets last.Â

LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts dropped their last game a week ago to UAlbany 13-11.
Charlie Pope led Vermont's scoring with five points off three goals and two assists.
Tristan Whitaker had four goals, and
Max Frattaroli had two, as they were the only other Catamounts with multiple points. Four others recorded a single point.
Jack Combs had another big game on defense with six ground balls and three caused turnovers, while
George Egan had 16 saves and four ground balls.Â

MAN-UP FIREPOWER
Vermont has scored 13 times on the man-up this year, nine of which have come from Pope and Frattaroli. Frattaroli has five of those, which ties him for the second most in the country. He is one of two first-year players to have that many and becomes only the 13th Catamount in the last 20 years to record at least five in a single season.Â

AMERICA EAST SUCCESS
Vermont has several players who have started conference play on the right foot. Pope is one of three with eight goals through two games and one of four players with 10 points. On the defensive side, Egan and Combs also rank highly. Egan posts the second most saves at 12 per game. Combs has five caused turnovers through two games, the second-highest mark.Â

SCOUTING THE WARRIORS
Merrimack comes into Saturday's contest having dropped four of their last five contests and sit fifth in America East at 1-1. Their one win in league play comes from their 10-9 overtime victory over Binghamton two weeks ago. Jack Rooney is the Warriors' leading scorer, scoring 10 goals and 29 points in the season. Rooney's 19 assists are a team-high, while Jack Kolbe's 18 goals are also. Henry Vogt will start in goal for Merrimack as he has a 13.61 goals against average through nine games.Â

INSIDE THE SERIES
The Catamounts have won both meetings with the Warriors in program history. They defeated Merrimack 13-8 a year ago in Andover.
Carson Boyle and Whitaker each had four points, as they were two of three players with four on the day.Â
