Dodge Picks Up Major Award, Catamounts Place Six on All-Conference Teams

BOSTON – Henry Dodge was named Faceoff Specialist of the Year, and six Catamounts earned All-Conference honors to headline Vermont's representation on the league's all-conference teams. Postseason awards were announced this afternoon.

After putting together a career year, Dodge was a unanimous selection for Faceoff Specialist of the Year. He led the country and conference in faceoff percentage at 71%, which is the highest ever in a single season by a Catatamount. Dodge ranks fourth in the country and top of America East in ground balls per game at 8.50. He was also named to the all-conference first team for the first time in his career and the all-academic team for a second straight year.
 
Jack Combs was named to the all-conference first team for the second straight year. He finished the season leading the conference in caused turnovers at two per game, which is also 10th best in the country. He ranked sixth in the conference in ground balls but led all non-faceoff guys with 55. He ranked 39th nationally in ground balls and ninth among non-faceoff guys. Combs also had a career-high six points on four goals and two assists.
 
Luke Reiter was named to the all-conference second team for the first time. He finished the season with 27 points on eight goals and 19 assists, which ranks third in the America East. He averaged 2.25 points per game and 1.58 assists a game. Reiter recorded seven games with multiple assists this season, including matching a career-high four against Bryant.
 
Ryker Demarest was named to the all-conference second team for the first time. He transitioned to close defense this season after two years as an LSM. He finished with career highs in ground balls (14) and caused turnovers (14). He also had four goals this season, including two against Manhattan. He matched his career high of three caused turnovers twice this season in back-to-back games against NJIT and Princeton.
 
Matthew Drimmie was named to the all-rookie team after starting the first 10 games of the season. He had 13 points in the first four games, including a season-high four goals against Utah. Drimmie finished the season fourth in the America East in shooting percentage at 35.9%. He ended the season with six multi-point games, three multi-goal games, and two multi-assist games.
 
Eddie Schwasnick was named to the all-academic after recording 24 ground balls and eight caused turnovers this season. Schwasnick recorded the second point of his career with an assist against Dartmouth. This season, he ranked 13th in the conference in ground balls and had 17 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers through the first four games.
