Men's Lacrosse Heads to Bryant for Key America East Matchup

MEN'S LACROSSE NOTEBOOK
Vermont men's lacrosse (4-7, 2-2 AE) travels to Bryant (7-3, 3-1 AE) for a midday match-up on Saturday, Apr. 13. The game will begin at 12 p.m. and be streamed live on ESPN+ from Beirne Stadium.

Game Notes: Vermont

LAST TIME OUT
The Catamounts lost their last game, 11-10 in overtime, to Binghamton. Brock Haley led all scorers with five points on three goals plus two assists. Charlie Pope and Max Frattaroli had hattricks, while Luke Reiter posted a career-high four assists. George Egan recorded 16 saves and 10 ground balls, the second time he has recorded double digits in both.

CAUSING CHAOS
Jack Combs ranks among the best in caused turnovers in the country. The first year has recorded 20, which is the 16th most in the country and second most among first years. Combs also has 48 ground balls, the third most by any first-year in the country.

STATISTICAL LEADERS
Through 11 games of play, several Catamounts rank among the best in America East. Pope and Frattaroli rank first and 10th in goals with 31 and 22. Haley and Reiter rank fourth and fifth in assists with 18 and 17, respectively. Reiter's 17 are tied for the second most by a first-year in the country. Henry Dodge and Combs rank fourth and seventh, respectively, in groundballs with 70 and 48.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
Bryant comes into the game having won four of their last five games, with their only loss coming to UMBC on the first weekend of conference play. Johnny Hackett leads the Bulldogs offense with 32 points from 13 goals and 19 assists. Hackett's 19 assists are a team-high, while Jack Lonsinger leads them in scoring with 23 goals. Scott Einarson figures to start in cage as the first-year goalie has posted a 7.46 goals against average in six starts this season.

INSIDE THE SERIES
Vermont has won four of the seven all-time meetings with Bryant, including the last two at home. The Catamounts won last year's meeting 13-12 behind five goals from Tristan Whitaker and a combined five points from Haley and Carson Boyle.
