BOSTON – The Vermont women's lacrosse team has been selected to finish fifth in the America East Preseason Poll. UVM received a total of 14 points to edge out Bryant who received 13 points in sixth place.

Voting was conducted by the league's head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own team.
Reigning champion Binghamton was selected first in the conference poll, receiving six first-place votes and a total of 36 points. UAlbany garnered the remaining first-place vote to be selected 2
nd in the poll with 30 points. UMass Lowell (25 pts.) and UMBC (23 pts.) are respectively third and fourth in the America East Poll. The Catamounts (14 pts.) round out the league's top-five teams.
To go along with six first-year players and one transfer, the Catamounts bring back a younger group, including 2024 All-Rookie Team Sabine Goodwin (D) and
Anna Rosenberger (G).
Sabine Godwin notched an America East Preseason All-Conference nod for the 2025 season. In 2024, Sabine was tied for second on the team in draw controls (38). She also finished the 2024 season with 24 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.
