BURLINGTON, Vt. – The Vermont men's basketball team defeated New Hampshire on the road in Durham, NH.
TJ Hurley led the Catamounts with 17 points and a career-high 3 steals.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Nick Fiorillo hit an early three-pointer from the top of the arc as Vermont was tied with New Hampshire 5-5 after the first four minutes.
- The next Catamount possession TJ Hurley hit a wide-open right-corner three.
- Before the 12-minute media timeout, Hurley hit another corner three this time in the left corner. Vermont trailed New Hampshire 15-13 with 11 minutes remaining in the first half.
- Both teams went scoreless for the next three minutes until Shamir Bogues hit a midrange floater.
- Minutes later, Bogues would take the ball the whole distance and finish through the lane. With seven minutes remaining, UVM led 17-15.
- Catamounts trailed the Wildcats 21-20 until Ileri Ayo-Faleye hit a pull-up three-pointer.
- Vermont led New Hampshire 24-23 at the half. TJ Hurley had a team-high 8 points in the first half.
- TJ Hurley opened up the 2nd half with a three from the right wing. The next Catamount offensive possession TJ Hurley made a scoop layup off the glass as Vermont got off to a quick 5-0 run.
- Vermont started the 2nd half going 6-7 from the field which included an Ileri Ayo-Faleye Step back from midrange and a Nick Fiorillo three. UVM led New Hampshire 39-29 with 15 minutes remaining.
- With 10:38 in the 2nd half, Ileri Ayo-Faleye had an and-one right-hand layup to go as Vermont increased their lead to 45-32.
- New Hampshire would cut the lead back to 10 (45-35) until UVM would go on an 11-2 run. Catamounts had a 56-37 lead with 3:22 remaining in the 2nd half. During that run, Nick Fiorillo recorded five points, an assist to a cutting Sam Alamutu, and a steal. 10 of Nick's 14 points came in the 2nd half.
