"Tough outcome today against a very talented team," said Head Coach

- Vermont came out in the second period amping up the offensive pressure, outshooting Wisconsin four shots to one in the opening seven minutes, but a Catamount penalty put the Badgers back on the powerplay, capitalizing by scoring their third goal of the game courtesy of Caroline Harvey, gaining the three-goal cushion.
- The Badgers buried two more goals before the final period, taking a 5-0 lead into the second intermission.
- The Catamounts got on the scoreboard 3:44 into the final period when Ashley Kokavec centered the puck to the slot, finding the stick of Stella Retrum who quickly snapped a shot blocker side, beating the Wisconsin net minder and securing her first goal as a Catamount. UVM cut the deficit, 6-1.
- Wisconsin found the back of the net two more times before the final buzzer rang, skating away with the 8-1 victory, advancing to the championship game.
