HOW IT HAPPENED
- The opening 30 minutes saw both teams trying to figure each other out, but it was the Catamounts who pounced on the scoreboard first in the 37th minute of action when Ismail fed Loebus on the offensive rush, seeing Loebus use his right foot to pin a shot to the far right bottom corner, securing his first career collegiate goal, earning Vermont the 1-0 lead.
- The Catamounts held the Wildcats to zero shots on goal in the first half as UVM went into halftime with the one goal cushion.
- Vermont doubled its lead in the 48th minute of play to begin the second half, gaining the 2-0 lead. Connor Thompson sent a cross from the near side, finding the foot of Ryan Zellefrow who touched the ball beautifully for Gabriel Chavez to set up Ismail with a wide-open net, burying his fifth goal of the season to give UVM a two-goal advantage with plenty of time remaining in the second frame.
- UVM made it 3-0 in the 70th minute of play when Zellefrow used a header near the midfield line to lead Philipp Kühn on a fast break, who then elected to dish a pass off to Millar running by his side. Millar wasted no time rifling a shot to the bottom left corner, securing his third goal on the campaign to give the Catamounts a demanding three goal lead in the second half.
- A red card was assessed on New Hampshire's Felipe Diniz in the 87th minute of action.
