HOW IT HAPPENED
- After another strong start Saturday, the Catamounts were rewarded on the first power play of the game. Max Strand scored his second goal of the season at the 9:02 mark. Jax Wismer fired a shot from the point that was stopped by Maine's Albin Boija. Colin Kessler put the rebound back on net and Boija made another stop. Cédrick Guindon centered the rebound back in front and Strand slotted it home into the empty net to make it 1-0.

At the blue line Jonah Aegerter dished the puck over to Dawson Good and then Good fed a cross-ice pass to a trailing Sambuco. Sambuco wired a wrist shot just under the crossbar for his first goal of the season.
- With 5:12 to play in the third period Mangbo (35 saves) had to leave the game with an aggravated injury. Aiden Wright came on in relief and made eight saves to seal the win for the Catamounts.
