Lauren DeGroot,
Sydney Remington, and
Kylee Carafoli have been selected to participate in the NEWISA Senior Bowl. The game is set for Sunday (Dec. 7) at 11 a.m. at East Boston Memorial Field. The Senior Bowl showcases the top senior Division I collegiate athletes from across New England.
DeGroot wrapped up her career leading the Catamounts to the America East Championship. She led Vermont with 8 goals on the season, ranking 2nd in the America East. DeGroot played a crucial role in Vermont's 3-1 win against Bryant in the America East Semifinals, recording two goals for the Catamounts. DeGroot landed on the America East All-Conference Second Team. She finished her Catamount career with 15 goals and 7 assists.
Remington finished her career leading the Catamounts to the America East Championship. She was Vermont's second leading goal scorer with seven goals on the year and was named to the America East All-Conference First Team. Remington helped lead the Cats to a 3-1 win against Bryant in the America East Semifinals, recording one goal. She finished her Catamount career with 13 goals and 13 assists.
Carafoli ended her career leading the Catamounts to the America East Championship. She was named the America East Goalkeeper of the Year, ranking first in the America East in shutouts (5) and 3rd in goals against average (0.89). Carafoli recorded 57 saves on the season and landed on the America East All-Conference First Team. She finished her Catamount career with 164 saves.
