Men's Lacrosse Max Robison

Catamounts Host Bryant in Rally Against Cancer Game

BURLINGTON, Vt. - Vermont (2-4, 0-1 AE) will host Bryant (4-3, 1-0 AE) on Mar. 22. The game will be the Catamounts annual Rally Against Cancer game presented by Mascoma Bank. The game will begin at 12 p.m. and be streamed live on ESPN+.

VERMONT OUTLOOK
  • Vermont dropped their conference opener last Saturday when they fell to UMBC, 10-7.
  • Luke Reiter (3 G) and Cullen Decker (2 G, 1 A) led the Catamounts offense with three points each. Pat Coughlin was second with the first two points of his collegiate career off two assists. Matthew Drimmie (1 G), Tristan Whitaker (1 G), and Zach Davis (1 A) rounded out the Vermont offensive output.
  • Henry Dodge continued his dominant season at the faceoff x, going 15-19, his third game with 15 or more faceoff wins. He also had 11 ground balls, which led the Catamounts. Dodge is second in the country in faceoff percentage at .722 and first in ground balls at 9.67. Both marks are top in America East.
  • Vermont leads the all-time series against Bryant, 5-3, and has won three straight against the Bulldogs. Last year's 16-12 win was the Catamounts' first win ever in Smithfield. Brock Haley and Whitaker led the offense that day with five and four points, respectively.
  • Drimmie is Vermont's leading scorer this season with nine goals. Whitaker and Reiter are second and third, with eight and six, respectively.
  • Reiter leads the Catamounts in assists with seven. Drimmie and Decker are tied for second with five, while Josloff is third with three.
  • Ryan Daly has posted a 10.56 goals against average and a .530 save percentage.
 
SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS
  • Bryant has won two straight heading into Saturday's contest with wins over St. Johns and UAlbany. The Bulldogs defeated the Great Danes 12-11 in their conference opener last weekend.
  • Dawson Rielly leads Bryant in scoring with 19 goals. Brian Russell and Jack Lonsinger are second with 10 each. Zac Amend and Luca Elmaleh are third with seven each.
  • Russell is the Bulldogs leader in assists with 11. Lonsinger and John Tomsheck are second with six. Patrick Walsh is third with five.
  • Scott Einarson has been the primary goalkeeper and posted a 9.11 goals against average and a .566 save percentage.
